Admitted as a solicitor in 1978, Patrick McCloy founded the Practice in 1981. He previously trained, and subsequently practised as a partner with Brian Harris & Co, the West End law firm where Patrick continues to practice as a consultant. During a career spanning some 30 years he has undertaken work in most fields of general law, but now specialises in the Property and Commercial Sectors.
He is also, with Brian Harris, one of our principal contacts serving our clients in the Principality of Monaco, and the surrounding areas.

I was admitted as a solicitor in 1996. I specialise in property transactions of all types .During the course of the past three years I have been heavily involved in the acquisition, development, and pre-letting of a substantial new retail park in East Anglia .I undertake commercial conveyancing work on a regular basis for a number of developers and contractors in the South-West. I continue to maintain close links with my loyal private client base and am always happy to assist with residential conveyancing, both locally, and throughout the country. I have considerable experience in the structuring of joint ventures and related instruments. I am always available to discuss any potential transaction and provide initial advice, entirely without obligation; please feel free to contact me. 
Brian Harris was admitted as a solicitor in 1972. Brian is the senior partner of commercial West End practice, Brian Harris & Co. The London law firm bears his own name and was founded by him in 1973. Specialising in the fields of corporate and financial law, Brian has a particular expertise in cross-border, off-shore and inter-jurisdictional issues.He is a director of a substantial UK listed company and is involved with a number of charitable organisations.
Brian is one of the principal contacts for our clients in the Principality of Monaco and surrounding areas.
Melissa McCloy was admitted as a solicitor in 1977. Melissa has spent the greater part of her active career in litigation with a bias towards commercial and construction disputes.
Melissa is now a consultant with the practice and brings her expertise to concentrate on management and related issues.
Admitted as a solicitor in 1996, Jeremy Harris is a consultant with McCloy Legal and a partner with our associate practice, Brian Harris and Co. He has a wide ranging practice embracing most fields of commercial law.His areas of expertise include commercial litigation, arbitration, 'white collar' crime, employment and propery related transactions.
Christine King was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1988. Christine has had a diverse career, including twenty years with McCloy Legal. Her experience primarily covers fields of family work, general litigation and probate.
Christine continues to practice actively maintaining her valuable expertise in all these areas.
Nick (as he is known to his many clients and contacts), was admitted in 1979 as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. He specialises in the sale and purchase of residential property and has 30 years unbroken experience in this field. Born and bred in Wiltshire, Nick enjoys very extensive local knowledge. His contacts have proved extremely valuable in serving the best interests of his clients over many years.
Nick has been with McCloy Legal since we were founded in 1981.
Matthew McCloy was admitted as a solicitor in 1973. For many years, Matthew practised in Newbury and specialised in addressing the legal requirements of the horse racing and bloodstock industry. Matthew now combines legal practice with other business interests. As a consultant to the practice, he undertakes project-specific work, particularly in the property sector and bloodstock industry.
His expertise in racing and related legal matters continues to be a valued resource, much in demand by clients requiring advice in this specialised area.
